After seeing this movie a couple times (yes, a couple) I've concluded that this is one of the best movies I've seen in quite some time. Ok, I'll admit it - I'm a sucker for Pixar, but that aside - this is a well written, well directed and masterfully executed example of what the headlining (all american) animation studios is capable of. Despite very few words (or perhaps because of it's very few words) the viewer is drawn into the future of earth - an image probably inspired by An Inconvenient Truth - and more specifically - Wall•E: another one of Pixar's personified characters. While following the adventures of Wall•E - the viewer gradually learns the not-so-subtle message of this film and one can't help but leave the theatre a little different (as well as highly entertained.)
And if that's all not good enough - the short beforehand is hilarious as always.
Enough wordy review. Go see it now.
Oh - and if you have seen it - you may be amused by B&L's website.
